From Goodreads:
Regan O’Riley has just about given up hope that she will ever find a woman into shy, geeky programmers. She yearns for a connection, but can't seem to make the first move. Mel Raines knows all about making moves. After a childhood under the thumb of her alcoholic father, she avoids intimacy by drowning herself in fiery, fleeting encounters with strangers.
When Regan and Mel meet in a straight bar, of all places, their chemistry is unmistakable. Before they can begin to explore their new relationship, Mel’s world is rocked when a close friend is a victim in a shooting. Regan suggests they take a road trip to escape reality for a little while, and Mel is only too ready to shake things up. Together they embark upon a physical and emotional journey where they discover that breaking free of old habits may be the only way to change your life.
My Thoughts:
What an emotional roller-coaster, I didn't expect to read about a whirlwind of insecurities, all that history wrapped up in one book. Had me hooked from the word go. Their unexpected meeting and although having not known each other long they head off on a road trip not knowing that by the end they would have emptied their baggage and be head over heels in love!
I loved all the characters, O'Brien developed them beautifully throughout the chapters, 2 completely different personality's a red headed geek in an atari t-shirt and a cop with hard a$$ attitude who both happen to end up in this whirl wind romance.
Oh and dont get me started on those steamy scenes whoa . O'Brien can seriously write a good thing or two! I can't wait to read what she writes next if its as good as this then its definitely on my TBR list!
This is my favourite Lesbian fiction to date, you definately have to check this one out!

My Thoughts: Murphy's Law
Title: Murphy's Law
Author: Yolanda Wallace
Publish Date: 8th January 2013
Format: Ebook provided by publisher for review
My Rating: 4 - This book was awesome, i'm glad I read it.
From Goodreads:
Mountain climbing guide Samantha "Sam" Murphy likes to tout her safety record. In the ten years she has led climbers on excursions up the world’s most treacherous peaks, she has never lost a client. But that doesn't mean she hasn't lost someone even more important.
Surgeon and philanthropist Olivia Bradshaw hires Sam’s company to lead her hand-picked team on a fundraising climb of Annapurna, the world’s most dangerous mountain. For Olivia, for the donors who have pledged money to her charitable foundation, and for the underprivileged masses she is seeking to help, failure is not an option.
Secrets abound and danger lurks at every elevation. Will Sam’s attraction to taciturn Sam get in the way of the expedition’s success or will Mother Nature have the final say?
My Thoughts:
Wallace tells a very convincing story as the struggle with the dangerous climb up the mountain unfolds, I'm not a non-climber, and the treacherous conditions were believable as I continued to read.
During the climb of Annapurna the 2 main characters are forced to readdress their lives and situations as the romance between them blossoms. Wallace helps us to understand the characters by including their history, however heart wrenching it turned out to be it helps them to develop as people.
Wallace has created a page turner, I couldnt put my kindle down for wanting to know if the expedition was a success and did their romance blossom how I thought it might. The dangers within the mountain kept me on the edge of my seat!

My Thoughts: The Sweetest Taboo
Title: Sweetest Taboo
Author: Eva Marquez
Publish date: 14th October 2012
Format: Ebook provided by Author for review.
My rating: 4 - This book was awesome,i'm glad I read it.
Isabel Cruz was fifteen years old when she met Tom Stevens. She was 15 when they started dating, and 16 when she lost her virginity to him. By the time she turned 18 and went to college, everything had fallen apart. This hadn’t been an ordinary love, though. Not a love between two dear friends, or even high school sweethearts. This had been the most taboo sort of love there was: a relationship between a student and her teacher. Isabel started her high school career as a normal student, but set her sights on Tom Stevens as soon as she met him, and pursued him with an intense – and sometimes reckless – fascination. When he finally approached her after swim practice and told her that he shared her feelings, it was the start of a forbidden and dangerous relationship. Join Isabel as she makes her way through this dark love story, hiding from teachers, lying to her parents, and defying the authorities to make a life with the man she loves. Watch as she discovers the wonders of love and romance, and the terrible betrayal of jealous friends. And cry with her when she learns the hard truth about life and the people in her world. Sweetest Taboo is inspired by the true and tragic stories of students who fall in love with their teachers, and live with the hard truths of forbidden romances. In a world full of after-school specials on sexual predators, this touching book seeks a different path, casting both student and teacher in a gentle light, and showing that true love may lie at the base of even the most illicit romance.

My thoughts:
From the cover of the book I guessed it was going to have a controversial storyline, and that's exactly what Eva gave us. an honest account of a forbidden love between a teacher and his pupil.
Eva did her best to write this book with such grace, it wasn't over the top and didn't make the subject seem sleazy or dirty, I think Eva was asking us as readers can the feelings be real by both parties or does this 15 year old girl just have a crush on the older more mature man? Or maybe his ego is clouding the judgement made? Overall Eva was sending the message that love can exist in the most unexpected places even if it does break all the rules.
This story really challenged me mentally as I analysed it from different points of view trying to find a more neutral ground, emotionally I went from feeling disgusted and angry to feeling more sympathetic and understanding as the story progressed, I can see how this book will cause such a debate.
Society frowns upon love like this but in my opinion you cant help who you fall in love with, much to that I can relate to being a lesbian madly in love with my girlfriend, another love society has had to learn to accept!
Overall I loved reading this, once I started I couldn't stop! I can't wait to see if Eva comes up with another taboo to keep me turning the pages!

My thoughts: Bounty for Hunter by A.J. Williams.
Title: Bounty for Hunter
Author: A.J. Williams
Publish Date: 12th December 2012
Format: Ebook provided by Author for review.
Keylee isn’t your typical bounty hunter. She’s young, petite, and has a Doberman pinscher as her personal bodyguard. Just as Keylee returns to town from a month long assignment, she’s asked to protect a man named Hunter, who has jumped bond and is on the run from other bounty hunters and the police. The mere fact that she knows who Hunter is and why the police are after him, places her life at risk. Now, Keylee has a limited time to save Hunter and herself.
My Thoughts:
The only complaint I have about this book is how it jumped from scene to scene, I didnt really feel it carried the story along so well. Apart from that I thought it was a fab quick read, I read the whole book in under an hour. Keylee isn't what you'd expect from a bounty hunter and her brutal ordeal only makes her more determined. Her brothers, also bounty hunters don't approve when she takes on a case to protect a man from some dodgy cops!
'It was on of the reasons he became a bounty hunter after leaving the forces. He had a hankering to fill the need for secrecy and missions'
This is no ordinary Bounty hunter story, this is a mission to bring a guy in with a twist, and the bounty hunter protecting him puts her own life at risk just by knowing who he is and why he's wanted.
On top of all that action, there is a sex scene between Keylee and Hunter, strangers creating some seriously heated sexual tension at their first meeting.
To sum it up.. grab this read!! I for sure can't wait to see what A.J. Williams brings out next!!
